Man hangs himself after writing suicide note to Buhari


A 50-year-old man identified as Chief Ekanem Edet from Mbiabong Itam in Itu local government area of Akwa Ibom state, committed suicide today, September 1, by hanging himself to the roof of his room.

But just before his death, Edet left a suicide note for President Muhammadu Buhari, Vanguard reports.

It was gathered that Edet, had been dead several hours earlier before the note was discovered.

Although the content of the note has not been made public as at the time of this report, source say Edet’s note was addressed to President Buhari.

Edets’s wife and two sons, it was learned, had gone out early in the morning unaware that his remains hung loosely from the roof of his room.

He was a former secretary of the Mbiabong Village Council and was popularly called ‘Jolly Boy’.
